The practice

A traditional practice, understood personally.

Acupuncture is a traditional practice in which extremely fine needles are placed at carefully considered points on the body. At Magizh, it is approached as one part of a wider conversation about how you are feeling and what may be influencing your wellbeing.

Traditional acupuncture considers patterns and relationships across the person, rather than looking at one concern in isolation. This is why individual assessment matters: two people may describe the same symptom while experiencing it very differently.

The conversation

We don't start with a needle.
We start with a conversation.

Your first consultation makes space for your concerns, health history, lifestyle, sleep, stress and questions before any approach is considered.

What happens in a session?

After a conversation and individual assessment, the practitioner explains the approach being considered. If acupuncture is appropriate, fine needles are placed carefully and your comfort and response are observed throughout.

What does it feel like?

Experiences vary. Some people notice a tiny prick; others describe warmth, heaviness or tingling. Acupuncture needles are extremely fine, and concerns can always be discussed first.

Is it right for me?

That depends on your individual situation. A conversation with the practitioner is the place to discuss your concerns, current care and whether this complementary approach may be appropriate.

Common questions

Nothing rushed. Nothing assumed.

Do I need to prepare?

No complicated explanation is needed. Simply share what you are experiencing, your relevant history and any questions you have.

Will the same approach be used every time?

Not necessarily. Your response matters, and the approach can evolve as the practitioner learns more about you.

Your wellbeing deserves an approach shaped around you.
